Updates

Pima Animal Care Center (Director, Monica Dangler) were able to reunite a family with their cats! Mom was hospitalized since September for cardiac arrest. She lost her job, home, but not her cats. Their outreach team of volunteers “adopted” a family for Christmas and are also handing out packs for folks in crisis or who are experiencing homelessness.

We are seeing an increase in the number of people calling for help due to COVID, so we are housing those pets temporarily or seeing if we can assist in some other way to keep them in their homes. Our food outreach program is still going very strong every week as people continue to reach out for help. We are posting details about our Pet Support Center so folks know where to reach out if they need help.

Pima is currently working on a Spooktacular Halloween microchip drive for Oct 31st. Not only will we be microchipping pets but also handing out pet food, pet supplies, and human supplies.

Our intake to placement program sent out an incredible number of animals for the month of September. 188 animals to be exact with a average length of stay of 3.1 days.
